Gratitude. Love. Positivity: 31 January 2021

Good day friends,

How are you doing? I am doing great on this side of the world. The days go by so fast.

Still, practicing gratitude? I have been practicing gratitude every day. I do get moments when I become negative, and moments I get angry when others are ungrateful and complaining. I am still struggling with this, but I am grateful I have the tools now to get out of these negative moments.

Have you seen a difference in your life yet? I have seen a difference in my life. I hate going to the Supermarket, but the past few visits have gone smoothly, and I got everything on my lists. I am also more chilled. I do not get anxious when I overslept. I am also not that stressed about my finances. I am truly grateful for all I have and for all that I am going to receive.

“Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him:

Luke 19:26

28 Days of practicing Gratitude….

This is not a 28 day challenge, it’s to help you and me form a habit of being grateful, and after 28 days, we do not stop. We continue. It does not take that long to do, and you can do your activities throughout the day. I would recommend you make yourself a gratitude journal to do the activities in. You can do it either in a book, on your phone or, on your computer. I made myself a book; I like to write things down in my own handwriting.

Day 18: The Magical To-Do List

“The world is full of magical things waiting for our wits to grow sharper.” ~ Eden Phillpotts

Gratitude is your best friend. It is always there for you and available to help you. When you use gratitude, you are open to receive all the gifts from the Universe.

All of us at times feel overwhelmed, exhausted, and need more hours in our days. I have never used To-Do lists. I just woke up and started my day. In 1998 my life started spinning out of control, and I got panic attacks and did not sleep at all. I needed more than 24 hours in my day.

Then I started making To-Do lists. Life got more organized, but I still did not get through everything on my list. After a few days, I get overwhelmed, stressed out, and take it out on everyone around me.

Since I started my daily gratitude routine, it got much better. Every day unforeseen things happen, and it makes you spin out of control. Most times, the” not so important” items on your list get transferred to the next day. Before you know it, three months past and it is still on your list.

When I read today’s chapter, I got excited.

When you combine gratitude’s magical power with the law of attraction, people, circumstances, and events have to be re-arranged to do what you want to be done for you.

Today we are making our written Magical To-Do list. What you put on your list is up to you. You can put on things you would like done for you. Things you don’t have the time to do or don’t want to do. Think about all the areas of your life where you need something done or resolved for you.

After finishing up your list, pick three things from your list to focus on today. One by one, take a minute and imagine that it is done for you. Imagine that all people, circumstances, and events have moved to do it for you. You can do the above for all the things on your list until everything is ticked off your list.

Remember, the law of attraction says, “like attracts like.” That means that when you are grateful for the solutions as though you have them, you will attract everything you need in your life to resolve the situation. Focusing on problems only attract more problems.

My daily gratitude routine.

  1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.
  2. Say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.
  3. From the moment you put your feet on the ground until you finished your morning routine, say the magic words, Thank You, in your mind for everything you touch and use.
  4. Go through my plans for the day in my mind and say, Thank you in advance for it going smoothly.
  5. Say, Thank you for the great news coming to me today!
  6. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “Thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.
  7. Identify 2 relationships and write 5 things you are grateful for in the person. It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague even a pet. During the day say “Thank you, name.”
  8. Say thank your for your different body parts, organs and your senses. Be grateful for each of them.
  9. Four times a day read the words on the card slowly and be grateful for your health. (THE GIFT OF HEALTH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE.)
  10. Four times or more a day look at your Magic Bill and be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. (THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.)
  11. While at work, look for things to be grateful for. Say to yourself. ‘I am so grateful for ……….’
  12. Try to go through the day without saying or thinking anything negative. If you think negative thoughts stop immediately and say but I am really grateful for…..
  13. Say, Thank you and be grateful every time you eat of drink something.
  14. When someone perform a service that benefits you, look them in the face and say, Thank you.
  15. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say, Thank you.

With all my heart, thank you for your continued support.

Have a Blessed day.

Good Morning: 31 January 2021

Good morning friends,

Well in a few hours January 2021 will be something in the past. I can’t believe how quickly it went by.

Since I have been more active on my website it’s like my days have less hours. I enjoy looking at other photographers photos and reading the posts and poems. Thank you, for sharing your thoughts and photos with us.

I went outside this morning to feed the birds, Shadow was waiting on our chair for me. I had to disappoint him this morning. There is a light drizzle and I would love to do my quiet time outside but I don’t want my Bible and books to get wet. So today we are indoors again.

Dad’s garden

According to my Weather App it’s going to be 24°C and we can expect light rain throughout the day.

I am very grateful for the rain. The levels of our dams going down fast. I have also loosen the reins on saving water the past 2 months, but this stops today. I will go back to watering garden with my watering can.

It is take it easy day and that is exactly what I am going to do.

Have a Blessed Sunday friends.

You can do it either in a book, on your phone or, on your computer. I made myself a book; I like to write things down in my own handwriting.

Day 17: The Magic Check

After readings today’s chapter about money and the different ways we receive it. My eyes opened, and I saw that since I started the 28 Days of practicing gratitude, how much I have received already.

It is not our first practice in gratitude for receiving more money. I am going to recap quickly. All bad feelings about money push money away from us and reduce the amount of money in our life. If you have feelings of envy, disappointment, worry, or fear, you cannot receive more. Instead, you are only attracting more of these negative feelings and situations.

Money comes to us in so many different ways. I only thought about the money I physically receive, and that shows in my bank account.

Every time you go to the store, and you get a discount on the products you buy, that’s a gift of money to you. Every time one of your service providers contact you with a better and cheaper deal, that’s a gift of money to you. There are hundreds of different ways money is gifted to you. When a friend gives you an item you wanted to buy for yourself, because they don’t use it anymore, that is also a gift of money.

Today’s activity is going to be fun. I can’t wait to do it.

Here is a blank Magic Check from the Gratitude Bank of the Universe. Print it and follow the instructions for today’s activity.

  1. Today, you are going to write out a Magic Check to yourself. Fill in your Magic Check with the amount of money you want to receive, along with your name and today’s date. Fill in a specific amount for something you want to buy. It can be for a computer, car, home, repairs to your home even a pair of shoes.
  2. Hold the Magic Check in your hands and imagine yourself purchasing the specific item or paying for the service. Feel as happy and grateful as you can that you have received it.
  3. Take the Magic Check with you today, or put it in a place where you will see it often. Take the Magic Check in your hands at least two times during the day and repeat step 2. You can do it more times if you want to.
  4. After today, place the Magic Check where you can see it daily. As soon as you received the money on the Magic Check, make out a new one for something else. Repeat steps 2 -4.

Good morning friends,

Did you have a good nights rest? Are you ready for today?

It is overcast but humid today. Not even a breeze in the garden this morning. According to my Weather App it is going to be 27°C.

We went to the supermarket early this morning to avoid to many people. When we got home Morné made us coffee and I went to the garden for my quiet time. Like always Shadow came and lay next to me. He is getting jealous now. As soon as Buddy or Ogies comes to close he will swipe at them. It may seem sweet, but I want everyone to live in harmony and not fighting. There is enough of me to go around.

It’s Saturday and do not really have anything planned for today. I just want to take it easy. I do want to edit a few of our Scotland photos of 2019.

Well that is all for now friends. Have a wonderful Saturday and remember to keep smiling.

Thank you, for your support.

Day 16: Magic and Miracles of Health

We should all be healthy and feeling energized and full of happiness most of the time. Many of us are dealing with illnesses, problems with our bodies, or other health problems.

Gratitude’s magical power increases the natural flow of health to the mind and body and can assist in healing more quickly.

When you have feelings of dissatisfaction about your physical appearance, you reduce the magical flow of health. When there is something you don’t like about your body you are not grateful. Complaining about your health and body only bring more problems to complain about.

The most effective way to make sure you are healthy is to take good care of yourself mentally and physically. Most important is to be Grateful for the health you have.

Think back to day 4. Are you still saying thank you to all the parts of your body?

Remember the following:

“The gift of health is keeping me alive.”

Today’s activity is designed to increase your health and happiness.
Step 1: Recollect three separate times throughout your life when you felt on top of the world. Give sincere thanks for those times.
Step 2: Think about five functions of your body that are well, and give thanks for each one of them.
Step 3: Choose one thing about your body or health you want to improve. Spend one minute visualizing yourself with the ideal state of your body or health. Then give thanks for this ideal state.

Good Morning: 28 January 2021

Good Morning friends,

I hope you had a peaceful nights rest.

I woke up at least 3 times during the night. Note to self: “DO NOT DRINK COFFEE AFTER 9:00PM!” Besides waking up, I had the weirdest dreams. I can’t really remember them, all that I know is when I woke up I had a big question mark on top of my head like in the cartoons…

My fiancé only went to work at 8:00am this morning, but the cats decided I am not allowed to sleep in. Just after 6:00am Ogies started touching my face to wake me up. When I did not move she used her claws, then she started to meow. By then I decided to get out of bed and my day began.

Today is a beautiful day in the garden. The wind died down to approximately 20km per hour, and it is only going to be around 29°C.

Yesterday I had studies on my To Do list. I did study but oh my word my mind was wondering the whole time. I am a photographer and yesterdays studies was all about screens, pixels, printing and I found it all very boring. Tomorrow will go better. I had a peak and it’s all about retouching. Today I want to look for the photos I want to use in tomorrows lesson.

On todays To Do List:

  1. Edit
  2. Post on blog
  3. Look for photos to edit for tomorrows lesson.
  4. Read my book and prepare tomorrows Gratitude Post.
  5. Prepare a delicious meal for tonight.

What is on your To Do List for today?

May you have a very productive day. Don’t remember to smile and make the world a better place.

Gratitude. Love. Positivity: 28 January 2021

Good day friends,

28 Days of practicing Gratitude….

This is not a 28 day challenge, it’s to help you and me form a habit of being grateful, and after 28 days, we do not stop. We continue. It does not take that long to do, and you can do your activities throughout the day. I would recommend you make yourself a gratitude journal to do the activities in. You can do it either in a book, on your phone or, on your computer. I made myself a book; I like to write things down in my own handwriting.

Day 15: Healing Your Relationships

Today’s activity hit a nerve. I never realized that I had so many relationships that need healing. Although most of them I do not have any contact with anymore. When someone hurt me, I cut them out of my life as if they never even existed.

If you have a complicated or broken relationship, have a broken heart, or hold any resentment or blame toward another person for anything, you can change it through gratitude.

We all play the blame game. We only see the bad in the other person, and that means we don’t have a shred of gratitude for them. The more we blame, the worse the relationship gets. Bad feelings about another person burn your life, but gratitude will eliminate them.

“Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.” ~ Guatama Buddha

For todays activity choose one difficult, problematic, or broken relationship that you would like to improve. It does not matter if the person is still in your life, or if it’s a past relationship and the person is no longer in your life.

Sit down and make a written list of ten things you’re grateful for about the person. Think back to when the relationship was still great. Name, I’m grateful for__what?___.

By the time you’ve finished your gratitude list you should feel much better about the person and the relationship.

The ultimate point is that you don’t have any more bad feelings towards the person anymore. If you need to you can repeat this activity till you have no more bad feelings towards the person.

Do this with all your difficult, problematic, or broken relationships.

My daily gratitude routine.

  1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.

Gratitude. Love. Positivity: 27 January 2021

Good day friends,

According to Phillippa Lally, Ph.D., a senior researcher at University College London it takes about 66 days to get into a routine or form a new habit.

Day 14: Have a Magical day!

Today’s activity is as easy as breathing. To experience a magical day, all you have to do is say thank you in advance. Yes, you are reading correctly. To have a magical day, be grateful in advance.

“Thank you for safe travels to work.”

“Thank you for the lovely dinner I prepared it was delicious.”

“Thank you for one of the best study days ever.”

“Thank you for the best shopping experience ever.”

Have you ever woken up and was in a bad mood? I have, and then my whole day spirals out of control. I mess toothpaste on my shirt, the milk is sour, I catch every red robot, and I am late for my appointment…

From today you don’t need to have a bad day ever again. As soon as you wake up and say Thank you for being alive, you also say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.

For today’s activity, work your way through the plans you have for today until bedtime. With each event, say the magic words, thank you, for it has gone well. Be grateful in advance that it went well. After you have finished being grateful for all the plans in your day going well, end the activity by saying: And thank you for the great news coming to me today!

Gratitude. Love. Positivity: 26 January 2021

Good day friends,

You can do it either in a book, on your phone or, on your computer. I made myself a book; I like to write things down in my own handwriting.

Day 13: Make all your wishes come true.

Hundreds of native cultures have given thanks for what they want before they receive it. They create ceremonies to as much energy as they can into giving thanks.

Gratitude is something you must have before you can receive. Most of us are only grateful after we received something.

All of us have made lists of things we want, places we want to visit, and goals for our future. If you have not made your list sit down and make it. Break it up into different categories if you like to be specific like me. Health and Body, Career and Work, Money, Relationships, Your Personel desires, and Material things. Then start adding to each category.

My Wishlist is spread over a few pages in my Gratitude Journal, I have even left a few pages open for future whishes.

Today’s activity is all about making your wishes come true.

Step 1: Create a separate list with your top ten wishes or desires as if you have already received them. Write it down in the following way.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for __________, and fill in the desire in the blank space as if you have already received it.

Always say Thank you three times. It is a magical formula because it is the mathematical number of all new creations in the Universe.

Step 2: Later during the day, take your list and, by using your imagination mentally answer the following questions as though you’ve received your desire/wish.

  1. What emotions did you feel when you received your desire/wish?
  2. Who was the first person you told when you received your desire/wish, and how did you tell them?
  3. What is the first thing you did when you received your desire/wish? Include as much detail as you can in your mind.

Step 3: The final step for today’s activity. Reread each desire/wish, and really emphasize the magic words, thank you, so that you feel as much as you can.

Do this for all the desires/wishes on your list. Spend at least 1 minute on each desire/wish.

My daily gratitude routine.

  1. When you wake up to to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.
  2. From the moment you put your feet on the ground until you finished your morning routine, say the magic words, Thank You, in your mind for everything you touch and use.
  3. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “Thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.
