Week 24:The Magic Wand

“Have you ever wished you had a magic wand so that you could just wave your wand and help the people you love? Well, today’s Magical practice will show you how you can use life’s real Magic Wand to help others!

When you fervently want to help another person you have immense power, but when you direct that power with gratitude, you really do have a Magic Wand that can help the people you care about.

Energy flows where your attention goes, and so when you direct the energy of gratitude toward another person’s needs, that’s where the energy goes. This is the very reason why Jesus said thank you before he performed a miracle. Gratitude is an invisible but real force of energy, and coupled with the energy of your desire it is just like having a Magic Wand.

To wave your Magic Wand for another’s health, imagine that the person’s health has been fully restored, and say the magic words, thank you, in heartfelt celebration of receiving the news that he or she is full of health again. You could imagine the person calling you to give you the news, or imagine them telling you in person, and really see and feel your reaction. When you can feel as grateful now as you would when you heard the news that the person’s health had been fully restored, it will guarantee that the gratitude you feel is sincere and as powerful as it can be.”

I don’t know about you, but I hate to see the people I love struggling with their health and finances. If they are stressed, unhappy in their job, or when their hearts are in pieces. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it better for them.
When I read today’s chapter, I was so happy. I always pray for my family and friends. I ask that they be kept safe and healthy. All this time, I have been doing it wrong; I never used gratitude.

For this week’s activity, choose three or more people you care about and who you would like to help with more health, wealth, happiness, or all three. Get a photograph of each of the three people and keep it in front of you while doing your Magic Wand practice.

Take one person at a time, and hold their photo in your hand. Close your eyes and for a minute, visualize the person’s health, wealth or, happiness has been fully restored, and you are receiving the news.

Open your eyes, and say the magic words slowly: “Thank you, thank you, thank you for Name’s health, wealth, or happiness.”

Do this for all of them.

Daily gratitude routine.

  1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.
  2. Say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.
  3. From the moment you put your feet on the ground until you finished your morning routine, say the magic words, Thank You, in your mind for everything you touch and use.
  4. Go through my plans for the day in my mind and say, Thank you in advance for it going smoothly.
  5. Say, Thank you for the great news coming to me today!
  6. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “Thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.
  7. Identify 2 relationships and write 5 things you are grateful for in the person. It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague even a pet. During the day say “Thank you, name.”
  8. Say thank your for your different body parts, organs and your senses. Be grateful for each of them.
  9. Four times a day read the words on the card slowly and be grateful for your health. (THE GIFT OF HEALTH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE.)
  10. Four times or more a day look at your Magic Bill and be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. (THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.)
  11. While at work, look for things to be grateful for. Say to yourself. ‘I am so grateful for ……….’
  12. Try to go through the day without saying or thinking anything negative. If you think negative thoughts stop immediately and say but I am really grateful for…..
  13. Say, Thank you and be grateful every time you eat of drink something.
  14. When someone perform a service that benefits you, look them in the face and say, Thank you.
  15. For 90 seconds, say Thank you every time you take a step.
  16. Practice my heart magic.
  17. Take 5 deep breaths during the day and say, Thank you for the magical air that I breathe.
  18. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say, Thank you.

The Four Agreements: Part 29

Good day friends,

Over the next few weeks, I am reading, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Some days  I will Quote a page or just give you a summary of what I read and how I understand it. I am just an ordinary person, and I find it interesting how different people and cultures see the world. This is not based on any typical religion. I hope you find it as interesting as I did. Please keep an open mind.

The Third Agreement: Don’t Make Assumptions – Part 3

“Making assumptions in our relationships is really asking for problems. Often we make the assumption that our partners know what we think and that w don’t have to say what we want. We assume they are going to do what we want, because they know us so well. If they don’t do what we assume they should do, we feel so hurt and say, “You should have known.”

Another example: You decide to get married, and you make the assumption that your partner sees marriage the same way you do. Then you live together and you find out this is not true. This creates a lot of conflict, but you still don’t try to clarify your feelings about marriage. The husband comes home from work and the wife is mad, and the husband doesn’t know why. Maybe it’s because the wife made an assumption. Without telling him what she wants, she makes an assumption that he knows her so well, that he knows what she wants, as if he can read her mind. She gets so upset because he fails to meet her expectations. Making assumptions in relationships leads to a lot of fights, a lot of difficulties, a lot of misunderstandings with people we supposedly love.

In any kind of relationship we can make the assumption that others know what we think, and we don’t have to say what we want. They are going to do what we want because they know us so well. If they don’t do what we want, what we assume they should do, we feel hurt and think, “How could you do that? You should know.” Again we make the assumption that the other person knows what we want. A whole drama is created because we make this assumption and then put more assumptions on top of it.”

Oh my word today’s piece really hits the nail on the head. I assumed my partner knew what I want out of the relationship, I got hurt, felt rejected and not important to him. I bought The Four Agreements and when I read this part I decided to put my list of what I need to make the relationship work on paper for my partner.

If you tell your partner what you want out of your relationship it makes things better, you don’t have to assume your partner knows what you want, because you talked about is. Sometimes it work, but sometimes even this is not enough…

“The Magical air that you breathe is not an accident or a fluke of nature. When you think about the enormousness of what hat to take place in the Universe for us to have air, and you then take a breath, breathing air into your body becomes breathtaking in every sense of the word!

We take one breath after another and never give a thought to the fact that there is always air for us to breathe. Yet oxygen is one of the most plentiful elements in our body, and as we breathe, it feeds every cell in our body so that we can continue to live. The most precious gift of our life is air, because without it, none of us would last more than a few minutes.

When I first began to use gratitude’s magical power, I used it for a lot of personal things that I wanted. And it worked. But it was when I began to be grateful for the real gifts in life, that I experienced the ultimate power of gratitude. The more grateful I became for a sunset, a tree, the ocean, the dew on the grass, my life, and the people in it, every material thing I’ve ever dreamed of having poured down upon me. I now understand the reason why it happened that way. When we can feel truly grateful for the precious gifts of life and nature, like the magical air that we breathe, we have reached one of the deepest possible levels of gratitude. And whoever has that depth of gratitude will receive absolute abundance.

Today, stop and think about the glorious air that your breathe. Take five deliberate breaths, and feel the feeling of the air moving inside your body, and feel the joy of breathing it out. Take five full breaths in and out five different times today and after you have taken each set of five breaths, say the magic words, “Thank you for the magical air that I breath,” and be as genuinely grateful as you can for the precious, life-giving air that you breath!”

In todays times I am grateful for every breath of fresh air that I can inhale. Wearing a mask out in public and when going outside is very frustrating.

Yesterday morning I went to Sonstraaldam before sunrise, and it was such a wonderful experience. To see everything light up in stages. It was spectacular. While capturing the changes on camera I was very grateful for the beautiful Winters morning and the opportunity to capture it.

It was only me and nature. Breathing in the air the Universe gives us.

The Third Agreement: Don’t Make Assumptions – Part 2

“We create a lot of emotional poison just by making assumptions and taking it personally, because usually we start gossiping about our assumptions. Remember, gossiping is the way we communicate to each other in the dream of hell and transfer poison to one another. Because we are afraid to ask for clarification, we make assumptions, and believe we are right about the assumptions; then we defend our assumptions and try to make someone else wrong. It is always better to ask questions than to make an assumption, because assumptions set us up for suffering.

The big mitote in the human mind creates a lot of chaos which causes us to misinterpret everything and misunderstand everything. We only see what we want to see, and hear what we want to hear. We don’t perceive things the way they are. We have a the habit of dreaming with no basis in reality. We literally dream things up in our imaginations. Because we don’t understand something, we make an assumption about the meaning, and when the truth comes out, the bubble of our dream pops and we find out it was not what we thought it was at all.

An example: You are walking in the mall, and you see a person you like. That person turns to you and smiles, and then walks away. You can make a lot of assumptions just because of this one experience. With these assumptions you can create a whole fantasy. And you really want to believe this fantasy and make it real. A whole dream begins to form just from your assumptions, and you can believe, “Oh, this person really likes me.” In your mind a whole relationship begins from that. Maybe you even get married in this fantasyland. But the fantasy is in your mind, in your personal dream.”

Oh my goodness while I read this and also again now typing it I can relate. As a teenager I had this huge crush on a boy. He was one of the popular boys and I was very shy at that time. I met him once in person at a friends birthday party and she introduced us. We talked and from that day on he would greet and smile at me when we see each other at school. I tried to keep it cool but in my head I was making up these stories of us being a couple and going out to parties. Not long after he had a steady girlfriend and my heart was broken. He still greeted and smiled at me whenever he saw me. Only now do I realize that from a young age we are making assumptions that lead to disappointment and heartache.

Week 22: Before your very eyes

Seven years ago, when I first discovered The Secret and the magical power of gratitude, I made a list of all my desires. It was a long list! At that time, there seemed to be no possible way my desires could come true. Nevertheless, I took my top ten desires and I carried them with me on a piece of paper every day. Whenever I had an opportunity, I would take out my list and read through it, giving as much gratitude for each desire as I could, as though I had received it. With my number one desire, the desire I wanted more than anything else, I kept it constantly in my mind, and I would say the magic words, thank you, for it multiple times in a day, and feel as if it had come true. One by one every desire on my list magically appeared before my very eyes. As I received my desires I would cross them off my list, and when I had new desires I would add them to my list…..

So now it’s your turn to use gratitude’s magical power to make your desires appear before your very eyes. At the start of the day, take your Top Ten Desire List that you created. Read through each sentence and desire on your list, and for one minute imagine or visualize that you have received your desire. Feel as much gratitude as you can, as if you have it now.

Daily gratitude routine.

  1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.
  2. Say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.
  3. From the moment you put your feet on the ground until you finished your morning routine, say the magic words, Thank You, in your mind for everything you touch and use.
  4. Go through my plans for the day in my mind and say, Thank you in advance for it going smoothly.
  5. Say, Thank you for the great news coming to me today!
  6. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “Thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.
  7. Identify 2 relationships and write 5 things you are grateful for in the person. It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague even a pet. During the day say “Thank you, name.”
  8. Say thank your for your different body parts, organs and your senses. Be grateful for each of them.
  9. Four times a day read the words on the card slowly and be grateful for your health. (THE GIFT OF HEALTH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE.)
  10. Four times or more a day look at your Magic Bill and be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. (THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.)
  11. While at work, look for things to be grateful for. Say to yourself. ‘I am so grateful for ……….’
  12. Try to go through the day without saying or thinking anything negative. If you think negative thoughts stop immediately and say but I am really grateful for…..
  13. Say, Thank you and be grateful every time you eat of drink something.
  14. When someone perform a service that benefits you, look them in the face and say, Thank you.
  15. For 90 seconds, say Thank you every time you take a step.
  16. Practice my heart magic.
  17. Take 5 deep breaths during the day and say, Thank you for the magical air that I breathe.
  18. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say, Thank you.

Good day friends,

Over the next few weeks, I am reading, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. Some days  I will Quote a page or just give you a summary of what I read and how I understand it. I am just an ordinary person, and I find it interesting how different people and cultures see the world. This is not based on any typical religion. I hope you find it as interesting as I did. The Third Agreement: Don’t Make Assumptions – Part 1

“The Third Agreement is Don’t make Assumptions.

We have the tendency to make assumptions about everything. The problem with making assumptions is that we believe they are the truth. We could swear they are real. We make assumptions about what others are doing or thinking – we take it personally – then we blame them and react by sending emotional poison with our word. That is why whenever we make assumptions, we’re asking for problems. We make an assumption, we misunderstand, we take it personally, and we end up creating a whole big drama for nothing.

All the sadness and drama you have lived in your life was rooted in making assumptions and taking things personally. Take a moment to consider the truth of this statement. The whole war of control between humans is about making assumptions and taking things personally. Our whole dream of hell is based on that.”

Well what can I say. I am guilty. I think I have the power to read peoples minds. I think I know what they are thinking. I think I know what they are doing behind close doors. Oh my word I am soooo guilty of making assumptions.

Be honest with yourself have you ever look at your partner and assumed what he or she was thinking or planning and then you pick a fight and make a whole unpleasant thing out of what you thought they were thinking or planning… Meanwhile you made it up all in your mind….

The lesson to learn is spare yourself a lot of pain and unpleasantness by NOT MAKING ASSUMPTIONS.

Week 21: Magnificent outcomes.

” We all want good outcomes to everything we do. In giving thanks before he performed an action, the writer Gilbert Keith Chesterton used the magic of gratitude to guarantee the outcome he wanted.

You will have had times when you thought to yourself, “I hope this goes well,” or “I hope this turns out okay,” or, ” I’m going to need a lot of luck.” All these thoughts are hoping for a good outcome to a situation. But life doesn’t happen by chance or because of a stroke of luck. The laws of the Universe operate mathematically to the finest possible degree; that is something you can count on!

A pilot doesn’t hope that the laws of physics will keep working during his flight, because he knows the laws of physics will never fail. You don’t go into your day and hope that the law of gravity will keep you on the ground so you don’t float off into space. You know there’s no chance at play, and gravity’s law will never fail.

If you want Magnificent Outcomes to everything you do, then you have to use the law that governs outcomes – the law of attraction. That means you have to use your thoughts and feelings to attract Magnificent Outcomes to you, and being grateful for Magnificent Outcomes is one of the simplest ways to do it.

The Magnificent Outcomes practice is being grateful before you do something you want to go well. You could be grateful for the magnificent outcome to the work meeting, job interview, or exam, the magnificent outcome to the sports game, phone call, catch-up with a friend, or seeing your mother-in-law. You could be grateful for the magnificent outcome to your exercise routine, your pet’s vet appointment, or your medical or dental checkup….

Another time to use gratitude for Magnificent Outcomes is when something unexpected happens during the day. When something unexpected happens, very often we can jump to conclusions and immediately think there’s something wrong. For example, you arrive at work and are told that the boss wants to see you right away. The problem with jumping to conclusions and thinking there’s something wrong is that the law of attraction says that what you think and feel you will attract to you. So instead of jumping to conclusions and thinking you might be in trouble, take the opportunity to make the magic happen by being grateful for a magnificent outcome….

Most of the time you will see and experience the magnificent outcome you asked for, and occasionally you won’t even know how you benefited from an unexpected event. But when you ask for a magnificent outcome and feel sincerely grateful for it, you are using the mathematical law of attraction, and you must receive a magnificent outcome back, somewhere, at some time. Guaranteed!”

This weeks magnificent outcome practice is being grateful before you do something you want to go well. Before you answer the phone call you have been waiting for, close your eyes and in your mind say and feel the magic words. Thank you for the magnificent outcome to this call”

Do this practice before you start writing your blog. Go into your meeting. Writing your exam. Sit down to study. Start cooking your dinner.

Choose three things or situations that are important to you where you want Magnificent Outcomes. Write it down as if it already happened. Thank you for the magnificent outcome to……….!
