Good day everyone,

Hope you are all still doing well. I have a huge favor to ask. If you are registered on Agora please go and vote for my photo.

This photo brings back so many good memories of travels with my late Mother.

A bit about this photo. I took in in July 2015 while my parents, the boys and I were on holiday in Pilanesberg National Park. This particular day I stopped at a water hole capturing Elephants drinking water. Then all of a sudden Mom started screaming I must move the car the Elephants are going to trample us. The kids thought it was a joke and could not stop laughing at their Grand Mother. I turned hanged out of the car and captured the Elephants while they approached the car.

Last Friday I got an email from Agora saying that this photo was selected for the top 50 of the Best Of The Week 10 competition.

If you are not registered on Agora and are a keen photographer feel free to register and vote. It’s free and you don’t have to participate in the competitions if you don’t want to. This site is not just for professionals and everybody can display their photos it must however abide to their rules.

14 August 2019: Day 4 of our Grand Tour of Scotland: Part 3 – St Andrews

Good day everyone,
It is cold and wet here in South Africa this morning. Last year this time I was busy packing the last of my things and weighing our suitcases for our holiday in Scotland.

I can’t believe that the time went by so fast. The worst of it all is, I am not even halfway through editing all my photos. I better get working on that. I will still be posting about our first trip to Scotland for a long time. I am enjoying editing, posting photos, and stories of that day. It’s like I am back in Scotland.

Today I am going to share the rest of my photos of St Andrews.

The blue door of the Lions House caught my attention when I got closer to take a photo I saw the lions and the name of the house it is very appropriate.

My next stop was the Holy Trinity Church. Another beautiful church with lots of detail. It’s a shame I did not have enough time to capture every little detail as I would like too.

I love to capture the old buildings with their unique characteristics, for example, this corner bookstore.

Here are just a few more buildings that caught my eye on my way back to the car.

Our next stop the Blackfriars Chapel.

Our next stop was St Andrew’s Cathedral. But that is a post all on its own.

Till next time. Stay safe.

FOTD :6 August 2020 – Pronkharpuisbos Euryops speciosissimus

Over the weekend my fiance and I went on a work road-trip. He worked and I took photos. Practicing my new skills learned from the photography course I am busy with.

On our way back we stopped for some photos and I captured these beauties for the first time. I have taken thousands of flower photos over the years and never did I captured them. I saw them and thought it was just another daisy bush.
