I hope you slept well. I had a busy night was up a lot. A bit tired this morning because of fighting off the mosquitoes. We sleep with the fan on at night to keep us cool and to keep mosquitoes away. We had loadshedding from 4 to 6 this morning and the mosquitoes taking advantage of the situation.
It has been raining since around 3:00am this morning. I just love the sound and smell of rain.
I had to go put out the buckets in the kitchen at around 4:00am this morning when it really started coming down. Somewhere the roof is leaking and I have to get someone out to have a look. So many people has said they will have a look but I am still waiting. My buckets have increased from 3 small ones to whole row of them. I am afraid of hights but I am thinking of going up there and have a look for myself.
It is a beautiful day today. According to my Weather App it’s going to be 24°C and cloudy. Perfect weather for mid summer I think.
This morning I am having my quiet time on my comfy chair in my office.
Day 3 of my 28 days of Gratitude. Today I must get 3 photos of people I have relationships with. It can be your partner, a friend or a family member. On a piece of paper write 5 things that you are grateful for in that person. For example: Thank you, dad, for always supporting me. Thank you, Lucy, for your kindness… During the day look at the persons photo and say thank you, name.
If you are doing the 28 days of gratitude with me remember to repeat Day 1 and 2 till the end of the 28 days. If you want to you can repeat todays excerise also for the remainder of the 28 days.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Have a fantastic Saturday and remember to be grateful for the people in your life.
I hope you had a good nights rest, and for those of you that are still awake that you had a great day.
It is a beautiful cool morning with a light drizzle. According to the weather forecast we are having a cooler day today only 24°C.
I can’t do my quiet time in the garden this morning, but I am so grateful for the rain. The garden and I welcome it with open arms.
This morning I must take dad to get a Covid19 test done. He is going for a colonoscopy and gastroscopy on Tuesday and before he can be admitted they need a Covid test done.
Later today we are having loadshedding so no electricity between 12:00pm and 02:30pm. This gives me the opportunity to read and color.
Today is day 2 in my 28 days of Gratitude. Feel free to join me on my Journey to make Gratitude a part of my life like breathing.
It is funny how fast one can get into a habit of noticing everything and everyone around you and saying thank you. Yesterday while walking to the shop, I realized how lucky I am to have have a shop just around the corner of me. The security guard on duty was extra friendly today. To be honest I never even noticed him in the past.
Day 2: In the morning write down another 10 things you are grateful for and the reason why. Afterwards read it again and after you finished each one say Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Look for a smooth rock that will fit comfortably in the palm of your hand. This is your gratitude rock. Place it by your bedside and tonight when you go to bed take the gratitude rock hold it tight in your hand and think about all the things that happened during the day that made you grateful. Single out one that means the most to you and say Thank you. Repeat this for the next 26 days.
Have a wonderful Friday filled with gratitude and laughter. If you are on your way to bed have a peaceful nights rest.
What a beautiful morning here in my garden in South Africa. The birds are singing and the flowers are blooming.
I had a good nights rest and is ready for today.
Today I start with 28 days of gratitude. I started reading the book Magic by Rhonda Byrne and in it it has a program to help you making gratitude a habit. Although I am grateful for all that I have, I still get negative and that just cancel out the gratitude I feel. So I am positive that after the 28 days I will be able to keep the negative thoughts to a minimum. I know it is going to be challenging but I am blessed to have good friends and a supportive family.
I will share my journey with you and feel free to join me if you want to.
For 28 days I have a task for each day. Day 1: List 10 things you are grateful for and why. For the next 27 days each morning I must list another 10 things I am grateful for. This is not a problem because I have so much to be grateful for I don’t think 28 days is going to be enough time to list it all. Every second of every day is a gift to be grateful for.
In advance I would like to say Thank you to each and every one that reads and like my posts on a Daily basis. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
Today is going to be another very hot day according to the weather forecast on the radio this morning. A whopping 38 °C. That is why I am spending as much time possible outside before heading indoors.
Have a fabulous day. If you are going to bed now I wish you a peaceful nights rest.
First of all I would like to say thank you to each and everyone who send me Birthday wishes via, My blog, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Sms and email.
I had a wonderful day today. I had both my boys with me and I took the day off to spend with them. We talked and watched movies. Then Lian told me that I am not cooking tonight he will take care of Dinner. I am so blessed with my two boys.
Now I am enjoying reading time in the garden. It’s much cooler outside than indoors….
Today is my 47’th birthday. I know the song goes “It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to…” But I changed the lyrics for today to “It’s my birthday, and I’ll do what I want to….” So after the cats fought at 3:00am and Lian my youngest son, who was streaming games the whole night, decided he was hungry and made himself a snack. I went to the kitchen to see what was going on. When Lian saw me he said Happy Birthday and he asked if I wanted a strawberry Milkshake. So in the middle of the night Lian and I drank strawberry milkshake and talked. It was the best way to start my birthday. “It’s my birthday, and I’ll do what I want to…” I went to bed and tried to fall asleep. Think I was on a sugar high from the milkshake. I did manage to fall asleep and woke up when Morné went to work at 6:00am.
Lian was still streaming at 6:30am when we started on a Peppermint Crisp Tart for my birthday. It has been a tradition in our household that on a persons birthday I will make them a Peppermint Crisp Tart as part of their Birthday present. I always loosed out but this year I decided I am making one for myself with the help of Lian. So before I had breakfast or even my first cup of coffee, I licked out the mixing bowl myself. “It’s my birthday, and I’ll do what I want to…”
On a more serious note I would just like to say thank you to my Heavenly Father for all the opportunities of the past 47 years. I am looking forward to all the new opportunities I am going to have in the coming year.
This morning it was nice and cool in the garden. Just a light breeze. According to the weather forecast on the Radio today it is going to be a whopping 38 Degrees Celsius. So for the remainder of the day I will be staying inside again. Will go out tonight when it’s cooler and spend some time in the garden reading.
Have a Blessed Wednesday and let’s all be grateful for this beautiful day full of new opportunities. If it is the end of your day be grateful for all the opportunities you had today. I wish you a peaceful nights rest.
I woke up with a bang this morning… My first thought was oh my goodness we overslept. I completely forgot that my fiancé are only going to work at 8:00am and not 6:00am.
I had wierd dream last night. My fiancé and I were trying to put a antique tool or something together and the parts just din’t want to fit. Needless to say I felt a bit frustrated or disappointed when I woke up.
Today is going to be a scorcher 36 degrees Celsius according to the weather forecast on the radio this morning. I will spend the mosy part of my indoors today. Keeping hydrated and trying to stay cool.
You must have a awesome Tuesday stay safe and healthy. If you are heading to bed now sleep tight and sweet dreams.
“Everything is possible for the person who believes. ”
What a beautiful morning here in my garden in South Africa. Only a light breeze. The weather forecast on the radio said its going to 31 degrees Celsius today…
Well I hope you had a peaceful nights sleep and is ready to face the day and week.
I woke up extra early this morning and after I had my first cup of coffee I swept the house, filled up the birds waterbowls and the feeders in the garden.
Had my quiet time with my Heavenly Father in the garden again this morning. I am so grateful that I have a beautiful garden and that I can sit and listen to all the birds and traffic going by. I wish everyone who passes my home a wonderful Monday.
It is going to be a busy day for me. Laundry day and I have to do some editing. Then I must also try to come up with something for dinner…. This morning I draw a blank…. But I still have some time to decide.
Well let the day begin. Have a fabulous Monday everyone, and if you are on your way to bed have a peaceful nights rest.
