PS. ☕ I am busy saving for a few upcoming Landscape Photography Trips to Namibia and a few local National Parks here in South Africa. The most important trip is honoring my promise to Dad to go back to Scotland and capture the beautiful landscapes and Puffins. Your help to make these trips a reality would be much appreciated in today’s economy.

Good day World: 3 January 2023

It is a beautiful morning here in Cape Town, South Africa.

I feel much better after I had a stomach bug for the past two days. I am still not 100% yet, but I am on my way.

Today I am missing Christo even more. I woke up during the night, and my heart was racing as if I had a big scare. The only thing I hate more than being apart from him is the time difference. I will continue with my “American routine” when I return from America.

My Vacation Countdown

Counting down the days….

Willow and Oprah

Willow and Oprah are doing good.

As you know, Willow has been diagnosed with Addison’s Disease and is on Cortisone tablets twice daily. She is very good at taking her pills, and if I run late, she will remind me as soon as I enter the kitchen. Her bladder muscles are still very weak, and she has had many “accidents” while sleeping. Otherwise, she is playing, barking, asking for treats as per usual.

Oprah, what can I say? She is a naughty pup, but she is so loving and loves attention and giving hugs. Willow stopped digging holes, and Oprah picked up where Willow had left it.

On my To-Do list for today

  • Write Blogaunary post ✔
  • Go do some shopping
  • Edit
  • Schedule Posts
  • Set up an additional blog for my day-to-day life in Texas.

According to the weather forecast, we have a hot summer’s day. With a minimum temperature of 19°C and a maximum temperature of 29°C, winds up to 28 km/h. If mother nature sees it fit, we will have some rain tonight to cool down.

How am I brave?

If there is one thing I am not, that is brave. I am afraid of change, meeting new people, and the unknown.

I can hear you asking yourself. ‘If she’s afraid of the unknown, meeting new people, and change, how is it possible that she is a travel and landscape photographer.’

Well, it is easy. I trust in my Heavenly Father or the Universe. He would never put me in a situation that I could not handle. He gave me a talent, and who am I not to use it to show the world the beauty surrounding us?

In short, I am not brave, but I trust in the Universe, my Heavenly Father.

Have a Blessed day.

Good day World: 2 January 2023

It has been a while since I posted a Good Day World post.

I hope everybody is still in good health and ready for 2023.

Somewhere I have picked up a tummy bug and have been making several bathroom visits since yesterday morning around 4:00 am.

Those of you who are following me will know that in 11 days, I will be flying to Texas to visit Christo for two months. I am ready to leave for the airport with only a few last bits and pieces to pack.

I look forward to exploring and capturing beautiful landscapes and doing some proper travel photography. I sent my tripod and external hard drives with Christo when he went home on Friday and the rest of my camera gear will go with me.

I am very grateful for technology. Without it, we won’t be able to video call and see and talk to each other even though we are 14264 kilometers apart. I am glad I needn’t wait three to four weeks for a letter through the post anymore. The second time around is so much easier with all the new apps.

On my To-Do list for today

  • Do Laundry
  • Edit
  • Schedule Posts
  • Water the garden

According to the weather forecast, we have a Scorching hot summer’s day. With a minimum temperature of 23°C and a maximum temperature of 35°C, winds up to 19 km/h.

What is something I want to achieve this year?

As you all know, life is not promised to us. No matter how many plans one makes, our Heavenly Father has the last say, and He can alter our plans in a split second.

I have short and long-term goals and plans set up for myself. But I know that it can change at any moment in time.

On my short-term list for 2023, I have a few goals.

  • Build my Landscape and Travel photography portfolios.
  • Work on my flower book.
  • Finish my Gaelic lessons.
  • Learn to speak Spanish
  • Give my website a makeover.

Mainly I want to be happy and live every day to the fullest with the people I love.

Have a Blessed day.

Love
