Exploring South Africa one town at a time: Hout Bay #16

Hout Bay is a harbor town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in a valley on the Atlantic seaboard of the Cape Peninsula, twenty kilometers south of Cape Town.

The area initially consisted of two farms, which were subdivided to make way for urban expansion. While maintaining its rural atmosphere, Hout Bay has more than 5,960 residences inhabited by a population of at least 17,900.

PS. ☕ I am busy saving for a few upcoming Landscape Photography Trips to Namibia and a few local National Parks here in South Africa. The most important trip is honoring my promise to Dad to go back to Scotland and capture the beautiful landscapes and Puffins. Your help to make these trips a reality would be much appreciated in today’s economy.
