It is a beautiful morning here in Cape Town, South Africa.

I feel much better after I had a stomach bug for the past two days. I am still not 100% yet, but I am on my way.

Today I am missing Christo even more. I woke up during the night, and my heart was racing as if I had a big scare. The only thing I hate more than being apart from him is the time difference. I will continue with my “American routine” when I return from America.

Willow and Oprah

Willow and Oprah are doing good.

As you know, Willow has been diagnosed with Addison’s Disease and is on Cortisone tablets twice daily. She is very good at taking her pills, and if I run late, she will remind me as soon as I enter the kitchen. Her bladder muscles are still very weak, and she has had many “accidents” while sleeping. Otherwise, she is playing, barking, asking for treats as per usual.

Oprah, what can I say? She is a naughty pup, but she is so loving and loves attention and giving hugs. Willow stopped digging holes, and Oprah picked up where Willow had left it.

• Set up an additional blog for my day-to-day life in Texas.

According to the weather forecast, we have a hot summer’s day. With a minimum temperature of 19°C and a maximum temperature of 29°C, winds up to 28 km/h. If mother nature sees it fit, we will have some rain tonight to cool down.
