Good day friends,

I hope you all had a good night’s rest.

I got up at 5:20am this morning. I made coffee and started working.

Since Dad got home, I have been struggling with my back, neck and right shoulder. While I was doing laundry on Monday, I had a sharp pain shooting up my back and since then I can’t stand for long periods of time and when I use my arms even to make a cup of coffee leaves me breathless.

Today I am continuing with my new routine. It works wonders and I get so much done. I have started to organize my flower photography on a separate external hard drive and I dedicate at least one hour a day to that till all my photos have been copied onto the hard drive.

Let’s see how much I will get done today….

It is a beautiful cloudy morning outside and there was hardly any wind this morning.

According to the weather forecast, we are having a beautiful warm summer day. With a maximum temperature of 26°C and winds up to 19 km/h.

• Copy flower photos to external Hard drive
• Prepare Dinner

I hope you all had a good night’s rest.

I got up at 5:20am this morning. I made coffee, put out the trash and started editing. Oooh and I baked an apple tart for dessert tonight.

I could not believe how much I got done yesterday. I only answered the most important messages, the rest I left for tea time or lunch time. I allowed myself to go on social media during lunch and after I had dinner. Even though I was busy with laundry the whole morning and during the day, I still got much more done than on a full day in front of the computer with social media distractions.

Let’s see how much I will get done today….

I hope you all had a good night’s rest.

I did not have a decent night’s sleep and only woke up around 7:00am this morning. Willow threw up at 12:45am this morning, I had to clean up before someone stepped in it. She was really not feeling well.

After I cleaned up after her she came and slept in my arms for a bit. Then she got off the bed to sleep in Grand Dads chair. I don’t think his chair is going home again…

The rest of the night I was up every hour to go to the bathroom. I am exhausted this morning.

Well exhausted or not, the chores must get done and I have to edit. Today I am not going onto any of my social media. I want to see how much time it takes from my editing. I spend hours reading posts and looking at other people’s photos and videos on all the different platforms I am on.

I have to get back into routine again. I am busy the whole day from 5:20am till 8:00pm at night and somedays I have nothing to show edit wise….

I slept like a log and woke up around 7:00am this morning. It is my rest day today so I am taking it easy.

I have to share this with you. When I took a photo of my little corner in the garden this morning the description on my screen was saying it is an historic building. I started laughing immediately. It has been ages, well it feels like ages anyway, that I spend a morning drinking coffee, taking photos or reading a book there.

I hope you all had a good night’s rest. I had a very rocky night with Dad. He is sleeping right now. Will see how he is doing when I take his breakfast.

At least I could sleep till about 6:15am, nearly an hour more than during the week. It is a beautiful morning outside with hardly any wind at all.

Good day friends,

I hope you all had a good night’s rest. I did not sleep too well last night; my brain is working overtime.

This morning I went outside before sunrise. Yes, you read correctly, it is a cool morning and I had to put my gown on.

I have a busy day ahead and we have an unwanted guest back in our lives. Yes, Loadshedding is back in all its glory. We have been fortunate enough to be spared over the last two days, but today we are not that lucky. He is visiting us from 10:00 to 12:30. Fortunately for me, I have enough work to do that doesn’t require any electricity. All I have to do is swop around my morning routine. Not a big deal, just the inconvenience of having to switch off my computer before the time and waiting at least 10 minutes after the power is back on before I switch it on again.

Normally I would take Willow out for a walk, but with Dad not strong enough yet that is out of the question. On that note. Dad is doing better every day. He is giving me a hard time though. He refuses to even drink 500ml of water a day. The doctors told me he must drink at least 1 liter of clean water daily. Today I am refusing to give him any coffee or tea he must drink at least one glass before breakfast and one before teatime. The same goes for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. If not no coffee or tea for him. It may sound cruel, but his urine is really smelly and is beginning to get darker. I don’t want him back in hospital again. How does the saying go? “You have to be cruel to be kind” or something like that.

It is a beautiful cool, cloudy and windy morning in the garden. A few minutes back it started raining so I guess it is a cool, cloudy, wet and windy morning in the garden.

Well, I did not do laundry yesterday. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got so busy with other things and it looked like rain. I want to save on our electricity bill so I decided to leave it for today. Guess what, today it is raining that means I will have to leave it for tomorrow.

Today I have to do laundry again. Snuffels puked all over Dad’s bedding this morning. Dad wants to go to his flat today to start taking off the and pack away the Christmas Decorations.

I hope you all had a good night’s rest.

It is a beautiful morning in the garden. I did my morning routine in the garden, made sure all the plants are happy and the bird’s feeders and water bowls are filled.

Shadow decided to join me in the garden this morning. I am very happy he is gaining some confidence and walking around more. Over the past few weeks, he has been walking through the house at night. About a week ago he started wondering during the day as well. He visited me a few times in my office either through the window or the door. He jumped on the bed a few times, but as soon as Willow moves, he is out the door…. I am not forcing these two anymore they must get to know each other at their own pace.

Dad is doing great. He is walking with his crutch and sometimes even walk a few steps without it. I am still keeping a close eye on him. He walks better when I am not looking….

I hope you all had a good night’s rest.

It is a beautiful morning in the garden. I walked around to see if all the plants survived yesterday’s heat, they all seem fine. I want to water the garden tonight. The birds are fed and their water bowls are filled.

Willow was on a sniffing mission this morning. She sniffed the whole garden. Then all of the sudden she lifted her head and sniffed in the air. She started growling so I had a look. There was a man urinating against my wall. They don’t have any shame whatsoever. It was rush hour traffic and they just pull out their privates and do it wherever they want. What makes it worst is there is a garage with a public toilet across the road. But NO! My wall, in public, in rush hour is how he wants to do it.
