Sunday Post: Morning

This will be the first time that I will join in on Jakesprinter’s  Sunday Post challenge.

Mornings are the most peaceful time of the day. What better way than to be woken up by the singing of birds at your window with dawn breaking…

Even when it is cold and raining there is nothing more beautiful than the different colours in the sky as dawn breaks. I took the following photo’s Easter Weekend one morning while Hubby, my friend and my youngest went for a jog. Haha jogging not for me.  I’ll rather walk and exercise my finger on the shutter button.

The following photo’s I took one morning at Alpine Heath in the Drakensberg during our holiday there in July 2012. What a lovely sight it was. I was clicking away did not want to miss a second of the lovely dawn breaking….

My photo of the day for 5 July 2012 is a hill and a tree all gone wrong…

Now you are going to ask me how can a hill and tree go wrong. Well one evening I had a dream about a hill and a tree that I took photo of and since then I am searching for my tree on the hill.  Just outside Alpine Heath I saw a hill and a tree that looks similar to the picture in my dream, but the problem is the tree is not on the hill it is next to it…

I told Ronald and my parents about my hill and tree so every time they see a hill and a tree they show it to me and every time I say no it’s not my tree and hill. I have the photo in my mind and I won’t stop looking till I get it.

My photo of the day for  3 July 2012 was the mountains at Alpine Heath at sunrise. It looked absolutely stunning.

I woke up at 6 O’Clock that morning and waited for Ronald’s alarm to go off. After snoozing a bit I got dressed and went outside to see what activity there is in the early morning. Not much I must add. I think all the animals and birds were waiting for the sun’s warm rays to give some heat. It was freezing outside.

The warm rays of the sun surely help to highlight the red colour of the mountains. I took a few experimental photo’s also but will share that at a later stage.

My Photo of the day for 2 July 2012 was the waterfall at Alpine Heath.

Ronald and I went hiking to the waterfall. I am afraid of  heights and everything higher than  a chair is a mission for me to climb on. Ronald talked to me and promised me he would help me and won’t let me fall. Man oh man I was very scared but I trust Ronald with my life so after talking to hard to myself I took the brave step and let him help me up the rocks.

I am very glad I did. The waterfall was lovely but we could not stay to long because it was starting to get dark and we did not want to get caught by the dark. If we knew the area well it would have been a different story.

My Photo of the day for 1 July 2012 was taken on our way to Alpine Heath in the Drakensberg.

When we turned of to Alpine Heath, Siabonga stood along the road with little clay animals. They sell it for food. I bought myself a Rhino. More photo’s of our day on the road at a later stage.
