Posting the last and most difficult shoot of all…

Little Angela had a very hard time with the shoot. They brought her the morning and she started screaming, they took her away let her sleep and later they brought her back again same story she cried. If I even move or look in her direction she started crying. The teachers at the Daycare tried everything to calm her down but nothing worked and we were running out of time… I have been shooting since 9 O’clock the morning and it was after 3 O’clock and I was very tired. But I did  not give up, I took some photo’s of her while she was sitting there. I did not say boo or baa because I did not want her to cry. Her teacher moved her from the chair to the ground and she put on the hat and shoes….

I tried my best to get rid of the red eyes and red blotches on her little face…. I know when I get her in a better mood she will make the most stunning photo’s. She is such a beautiful little girl it broke my heart that I could not win this little one’s trust.

Matthew was a very shy little boy and we got him to interact by using motorcycle toys…. He was our second last shoot of the day and I was very happy to get a smile or two from him…

Jordan was one of the last 4 little ones who we tried to photograph since early morning. In the end it took nearly 20 minutes just to get him calm and to trust me. I went and sat by him till I saw he was calmer before I tried photographing him. With every new pose I had to go and sit by him to ensure him it’s okay.  Even though he was crying allot I think we got some pretty lovely photo’s of him lying down…

Nathan is another blond curly hair boy with blue eyes. This little boy took his photo shoot very serious and did not want to look at the camera and smiled. Instead he bowed his head and gave a sly little smile… Like all little ones he hated anything on his head.

Little Jean has tho most beautiful  blond curly hear , pale white skin and big blue eyes…. He has the most awesome smile but only as soon as I put my camera on the ground….

Little Xavier was friendly little boy and he went through his poses in no time. When I first saw him standing on one side I thought to myself this little boy looks like he could be full of tricks… He was just adorable with those big brown eyes and that beautiful smile…

Little Abigail was another  scared little customer, she cried and when we got her calm for her photo’s she just stood and sit there. She did not even want to give us a wee little smirk. She is such a beautiful little girl would love to see her smile…

Charlie was a real happy little girl. She just love clapping and laughed allot. I loved photographing her…

Eben and Niane are siblings. Eben really enjoyed playing with the fake presents. He however did not want to hold his little sister at all.  He gave me one chance to click and then up he jumped up and off he went…

I don’t know how old little Niane is, but she was adorable and her facial expressions changed constantly….

Josh was a very friendly little boy. He smiled and talked was fun capturing him. I just love all is expressions.

Little Hayden did not say boo or baa. She was another one of our serious little ones. I did manage to get a wee little smile from her but that was that.  After the smile it was back to serious business… Face it people it’s hard work to pose for photo’s….

Morgan was a bit shy in the beginning of her shoot, but as we went along she got to warm up to the camera. Morgan is at that stage were smile means show off all my beautiful teeth. I did manage to get some real smiles from her as well…

Ashley was a real treat to photograph. She pulled the funniest little faces. She made my job very easy and I took loads of photo’s of her….

Aah little Emily… She was so afraid of the camera and this lady pointing it at her. When that lip started twitching I put down my camera and told her to come and sit by me.  She sat as quiet as a mouse and did not move. While I was busy photographing the other kids I maneuvered around her. Later I realized that when I moved away she’ll move slowly towards me until she touch me slightly…  She had to realize that that black thing will not hurt her at all and that this lady loves kids to bits.  Little Emily also had allot of expressions and I am very happy with her photo’s.  No tears or red eyes…

Benjamin was another character. It took him a long time before he would even look slightly to me and my camera. If I moved to get him he turned his head or he would look past me…  Like you all know me by now I don’t give up and even if I have to fake taking a photo I do that. I was very happy to see that I at least did not loose my touch and I got him good….. I just love it  when he laughs he wrinkles up his little nose and it looks just to adorable.

Malan was such a friendly little boy. His shoot went by so fast. He laughed and it was a real pleasure working with him….

Dylan has the most intense and beautiful stare I have seen in a very long time. When he looked at me it felt like he was looking through my lens into my soul. He was very tense and I tried to put him at ease but did not want to push to hard. I did not want to scare the little man. I can only imagine what fabulous photo’s this little man will make when that beautiful blue eyes smiles at the camera. Hope one day I’ll have the opportunity to capture him again.

Little Skyler was very serious little girl but we did manage to get a wee little smirk from her. At one stage I thought okay this little girl must think we are busy losing it….

In the four years that I am working with little ones I have learned that every age group comes with their own challenges and then combine this with the little ones personality and you never know what you are getting to work with.  I love my job and I love the little ones facial expressions especially when I make noises behind the camera…
