Morning Greetings: 19 August 2021

Good morning friends,

Today we are doing a circle route. Going to Nuwerus, Lutzville, Strandfontein, Doringbaai, Vredendal and then back in Vanrynsdorp.

The trip is about 275km long and suppose to take us about 3 hours. But with all the stops for photos I think it is a better bet to say we are going to be back late afternoon.

Good evening

Good evening friends,

Dad and I had a lovely time on the road today.

After Breakfast at the Bagdad Cafe we headed to Loeriesfontein. There we visited the Fred Turner Museum and later The Quiver Tree Forest on our way back.

We had rain up to about 55 km before Loeriesfontein. I am very grateful for the beautiful cloudy morning. We headed back to Nieuwoudtville around 13h00. It started raining again when we were about 20km from Nieuwoudtville.

We had lunch at Die Nedersetting 1897 Restaurant and enjoyed the warm fireplace. We sat at table 8 again.

I hope you enjoyed the photos I took with my Huawei P30 lite. I can’t wait to see my photos on my computer screen. I am super excited.

So far I have been lucky to capture plants and flowers I have not seen before. Dad bought me two books of flowers of the area to help me identify them.

Good morning friends,

Got up at 6:00am this morning. We left at 7:00am to be in time for breakfast at Matjiesfontein. We drove for 14 km on a dirt road just to be informed that they do not serve breakfast anymore. Very disappointed we walked around for a bit but the flowers were still closed.

We did find one that I have never photographed before. Three little farm children also asked if they can sing for me.

We headed back to Nieuwoudtville for some breakfast at Die Nedersetting 1897.

Lucky number 8 for us.

Good night, sleep tight….

Good evening friends,

Dad and I had a wonderful day. We saw lots of flowers and visited Ramskop Wildflower garden in Clanwilliam.

We had a lovely warm day with the temperature going up to 26°C. The wind however made it difficult to take photos of the flowers, but I did manage to get some nice ones. I also got some beautiful landscape photos.

I used my 18 – 55 mm lens and also had to get out my 18 to 200 mm for the flowers that was to far in the garden. I could not walk closer to them.

The road was very busy and there was a lot of trucks on it. We are on holiday and we enjoyed the flowers along the road.

Tomorrow morning we must get up early because we want to travel a circle route of about 300 km.

I just hope that the weather holds. Last week they predicted sunshine, now they predict rain. If it rain the flowers will not open up… Although I don’t know which weather app to believe. I looked at 3 and al three differs.

Well good night everyone, I am really tired tonight.

Morning Greetings: 6 August 2021

Good morning friends,

Hope you all had a peaceful nights rest.

I woke up around 2:00am and could for the love of me not fall asleep again. I layed in bed listening to Mornè and Willow snoring. I thought to myself maybe I must get up and go do something productive. I must have fallen asleep around 3:30am. Because the last time I looked at the time it was 3:17am.

According to the weather forecast we are having sunny but cool winters day. A maximum temperature of 19°C are predicted.

Today I am taking it easy. Not going to plan anything. I am just going to relax and watch the travel channel…. Oh and of course finish up our itinerary for our trip on the 16th.

With all my heart thank you for your ongoing support and taking the time to look at my post and my photos. I am truly grateful for every view, like, follow and comment I receive.

Have a lovely day and werkend.

Morning Greetings: 5 August 2021

Good morning friends,

How are you doing today?

I am having one of those don’t want to get out of bed days.

Morné went to work around 6:00am this morning, brought me coffee in bed before he left. Thank goodness in winter I drink out of my Starbucks mug. Willow and I decided to close our eyes just for 5 minutes before we get up….🛌💤

The alarm woke us up at 8:00am….. ⏰😳🥱 Now I am drinking my coffee☕ and writing my morning post from bed. I keep forgetting I am supposed to be on holiday. I am allowed to take it easy.

According to the weather forecast we are having a cool winters day. A maximum temperature of 17 °C are predicted.⛅

I don’t have much on my To-Do List for today.

  • Take dad for birthday shopping for grandkids.
  • Charge batteries for Saturdays outing with Lian.
  • Edit and make some inspirational cards.
  • Prepare dinner.
  • Fit in a Gaelic lesson or two.

Well that is it for now friends. I have to get out of my warm and comfy bed now😏

I want to thank you for your support and taking the time to read my post.

Have a fabulous day.

Stay safe and healthy.
