Project 365 Photo a day: 365/106

While on holiday I was constantly looking for props for my photo shoots. My photo of the day for today is one off the props I brought back home…

We went to a Farmers market on the first Saturday of our holiday. The whole time I was looking for something to use in my photo shoots.  I saw quite a few things but I had to keep in mind that I have a budget and space in the car was minimal. So whatever I buy must be small enough to fit in my bag or at my feet. I found these four hearts with Love, Hope, Peace and Joy in the last row of little stalls. I asked hubby if he can have a look at it. I wanted to know if I would be able to take the four hearts apart and use the separately.

I spotted some similar hearts made out of metal and wire at a few other tables too. The big difference was the other hearts was single and they cost around R40 per heart and it was approximately the size of the Hope heart. I wanted Afrikaans and English ones so it started working out a bit expensive. I  still had my whole holiday left and did not want to spend all my money at a Farmers market on the first day.

I used two of these metal hearts in my photo shoots over the weekend…

My photo of the day for 8 July 2012 is a little Meerkat from the Emoya Estate.

The little critter was just to quite. While visiting in Bloemfontein for the weekend Maryke took us to Emoya.

We spotted the little Meerkat with a bell around his neck. As we walked it followed us everywhere we go. It was just to cute and entertaining. I took allot of photo’s of the little critter but will share that with some more information of Emoya.

My Photo of the day for 7 July 2012 is one of the rugby game at the Free State Stadium.

We were  very happy when hubbies niece told us that her hubby organized tickets for us so that we could watch the game between our team the Stormers and the Free State Team the Cheetahs. We sat across the Halfway line  high up on the stands. Luckily we were on the Grand stand and the rain did not effect us.

I am very proud and happy to say that our team the Stormers won…..

We left Kraaifontein this morning at 05:00 to start our 970 KM journey to Bloemfontein where we would spend the night at Ronalds niece..

We ate breakfast at around 8 O’Clock at Laingsburg and this was the first time that I took out my camera.I took a total of 182 photo’s today. We had darkness, fog, rain, sunshine some more fog and rain and we even had a thunder storm. I tried capturing the lightning but no luck. The camera kept focusing on the wiper blade and rain drops.

But my favourite photo of the day was this tree that Ronald spotted. When he turned around I wondered now why would he turn around. When we stopped I saw this big dam and thought okay maybe I must capture the dam and then I saw the tree in the dam.
