Gratitude. Love. Positivity: 6 February 2021

Good day everyone,

28 Days of practicing Gratitude….

This is not a 28 day challenge, it’s to help you and me form a habit of being grateful, and after 28 days, we do not stop. We continue. It does not take that long to do, and you can do your activities throughout the day. I would recommend you make yourself a gratitude journal to do the activities in. You can do it either in a book, on your phone or, on your computer. I made myself a book; I like to write things down in my own handwriting.

Day 23: The Magical Air that we Breathe

“It is quite possible to leave your home for a walk in the early morning air and return a different person – beguiled, enchanted.” ~ Mary Ellen Chase

Are you grateful for the air that you breathe every day? I never even gave the air that I breathe a minutes notice. Never even think about it.

The air that we breathe is not an accident of a fluke of nature. We take one breath after another and never give a thought that there is always air for us to breathe. Yet oxygen is one of the most plentiful elements in our body, it feeds our cells that keeps us healthy and alive. Air is the most precious gift of life.

In ancient teachings it is said that when a person reaches the point of being deeply grateful for the air that they breathe, their gratitude will have reached a new level of power, and they will have become the true alchemist, who can effortlessly turn every part of their life into gold.

Today’s activity is as easy as breathing.

Five times today, go outside if possible, stop and think about the glorious air that you breathe. Take five deliberate breaths, and feel the feeling of the air moving inside your body, and feel the joy of breathing it out. After you have taken your five breaths, say the magic words: Thank you for the magical air that I breathe. Be as grateful as you can for the precious gift of life you breathe in every day.

My daily gratitude routine.

1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You. Say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.

2. From the moment you put your feet on the ground until you finished your morning routine, say the magic words, Thank You, in your mind for everything you touch and use.

3. Go through my plans for the day in my mind and say, Thank you in advance for it going smoothly.

4. Say, Thank you for the great news coming to me today!

5. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “Thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.

6. Identify 2 relationships and write 5 things you are grateful for in the person. It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague even a pet. During the day say “Thank you, name.”

7. Say thank your for your different body parts, organs and your senses. Be grateful for each of them.

8. Four times a day read the words on the card slowly and be grateful for your health. (THE GIFT OF HEALTH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE.)

9. Four times or more a day look at your Magic Bill and be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. (THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.)

10. While at work, look for things to be grateful for. Say to yourself. ‘I am so grateful for ……….’

11. Try to go through the day without saying or thinking anything negative. If you think negative thoughts stop immediately and say but I am really grateful for…..

12. Say, Thank you and be grateful every time you eat of drink something.

13. When someone perform a service that benefits you, look them in the face and say, Thank you.

14. For 90 seconds, say Thank you every time you take a step.

15. Practice my heart magic.

16. Take 5 deep breaths during the day and say, Thank you for the magical air that I breathe.

17. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say, Thank you.

With all my heart, thank you for your continued support.

Have a Blessed day.

Good morning friends,

Hope you all had a peaceful nights rest. I am still on bed rest but I am feeling much better.

Looking forward to post from my desktop again. Only 2 days left.

Day 21: Magnificent outcomes.

“You say grace before meals. All right. But I say grace befire the concert and the opera, and grace before the play and pantomime, and grace before I open a book, and grace before sketching, painting, swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing and grace before I dip the pen in the ink. “ ~ G. K. Chesterton

We can all learn from Gilbert Keith Chesterton.

All everybody wants is that their day will go off without a hitch. We all hope the meeting go our way, hope that when the phone rings it is good news. Life does not happen by chance or a stroke of luck.

Today’s magnificent outcome practice is being grateful before you do something you want to go well. Before you answer the phone call you have been waiting for, close your eyes and in your mind say and feel the magic words. Thank you for the magnificent outcome to this call”

Do this practice before you start writing your blog. Go into your meeting. Writing your exam. Sit down to study. Start cooking your dinner.

For today’s practice choose three things or situations that are important to you where you want Magnificent Outcomes. Write it down as if it already happened. Thank you for the magnificent outcome to……….!

Good day friends,

Day 20: Heart Magic

Today’s activity hit the nail on the head. My heart do need some magic.

By now you have figured out that the aim of the practice of gratitude is always to feel it as much as you can. The more grateful you feel on the inside, the more you have to be grateful for on the outside.

To feel grateful very deeply will not happen overnight. It will take a lot of practice and depending from person to person the periods will differ.

The Heart Magic practice is designed to powerfully increase the depths that you feel gratitude, by focusing your mind on the area of your heart as you say and feel the magic words, thank you. It takes a little practice the first time you try, but it is worth the effort.

Put your right hand on the area around your heart, close your eyes, keep your focus on your heart, and say the magic words, thank you.

Take your Top Ten Desire List and practice Heart Magic by reading each desire, close your eyes, focusing on your heart and say, thank you. Do this for all ten desires.

My daily gratitude routine.

1. When you wake up to a new day, before doing a single thing say, Thank You.
Say, Thank you for the magical day I am going to have.

Good day friends,

Today’s post will be a short one. Normally I post from my desktop but today I am posting from my bed.

Later I am going to the doctor to get to the root of my backpain. I can’t ask the universe to fix something if I don’t know what is wrong. Luckily we have doctors to help us figure that out.

Day 19: Magic footsteps

Today’s activity is as easy as walking.

How often a day do you say Thank you?

“A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein said thank you hundreds of times during the day. We must be grateful for every person, service provider past and present.

For today’s practice we are going to walk for 90 seconds and with each footstep we are going to say, thank you. Like I said it is as easy as walking. Take note how you feel before the 90 sec and how you feel afterwards.

I am going to incorporate this into my daily routine. I believe we can’t say thank you to much.

Have a wonderful day and remember to say thank you and count your blessings.

Good Morning: 20 January 2021

Good Morning everyone

So what is new today?

I woke up this morning and when I looked at my clock I saw I overslept. Normally I would go in a flat spin and start running around and get mad at myself. But this morning I just got out of bed and continue as normal. My new motto is to be grateful and do my best every day.

It is going to be another beautiful hot day today. Looking forward to it.

Day 7 of my 28 Days of Gratitude

Todays activity is about negativity and how to work through bad situations. If you have a negative situation you want to resolve you have to find something to be grateful for in that situation.

Make a list of 10 things you are grateful for about the situation. Start making a list of each of the ten things you’re grateful for in the following way: I am so grateful for…….. or, I am truly grateful for……….

Once you’ve listed ten things you’re grateful for, finish the practice by writing Thank you, thank you, thank you, for the perfect resolution.

Just for today, see if you can go through the day without saying anything negative. It is going to be a challenge but see if you can do it with me. I don’t know about you but I am going to try to do it everyday from now on. If you do have a negative thought stop immediately and say: But I have to say that I am really grateful for……. write something you are grateful for.

I am adding today’s activity to my daily gratitude routine.

  1. Count your blessings: Make a list of 10 blessings. Write why you’re grateful for each blessing. Reread your list and say “thank you, thank you, thank you” Feeling gratitude for each blessing.
  2. Identify 2 relationships and write 5 things you are grateful for in the person. It can be a family member, a friend, a colleague even a pet. During the day say “Thank you, name.”
  3. Say thank your for your different body parts, organs and your senses. Be grateful for each of them.
  4. Four times a day read the words on the card slowly and be grateful for your health. (THE GIFT OF HEALTH IS KEEPING ME ALIVE.)
  5. Four times or more a day look at your Magic Bill and be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life. (THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.)
  6. While at work, look for things to be grateful for. Say to yourself. ‘I am so grateful for ……….’
  7. Try to go through the day without saying or thinking anything negative. If you think negative thoughts stop immediately and say but I am really grateful for…..
  8. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say Thank you.

Thank you for your ongoing support and taking the time to read my post.

Good Morning: 19 January 2021

Good morning to my blogging community,

I hope you slept well and that you are ready for today.

It is a beautiful morning and there is a cool breeze. Today it will be a bit cooler than yesterday. According to my weather App it will be approximately 24°C.

My day is going to be another busy one. Dad is going to the hospital today for his annual colonoscopy and gastroscopy to ensure everything is still 100%. In 2010 they removed a large piece of his colon due to cancer. He has been clean since the operation and I believe that todays tests wont be any different. While they are doing the tests I am going to take the time and go do our monthly shopping. I asked Dad what he would like for supper tonight and he said Spaghettis and savory mince. As soon as I am done with the shopping I will start with supper. Dad will be starving when he gets back. He had his last meal yesterday around 1:00pm.

Day 6 of my 28 Days of Gratitude

Todays activity is all about your work or job. Even if you are not in your ideal work environment or you don’t have your dream job yet you must always be grateful. I know and I talk out of experience. When you are not grateful and only have negative thoughts and feelings it only gets worst. As soon as you realize how blessed you are to have a job, colleagues and equipment to do your job, you will start see the things changes around you. You will become happier.

Today while at work imagine you have a invisible Gratitude manager following you around. You must try to find as many things big or small that you are grateful for in your work. Your invisible manager will write down all the things you are grateful for as soon as you say. “I am so grateful for what

I work from home and my office for the day is where ever I am taking photos that day. Here are just a few things I am grateful for in my work.

“I am so grateful that I can work from home. I am so grateful that I have internet access to do my research. I am so grateful I have all the camera gear I need to do my job. I am so grateful I have a small yet functional home studio setup.”

  7. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say Thank you.

Good Morning: 18 January 2021

Good morning friends,

It is a beautiful day today. According to the weather forecast on my App it is going to be 32°C but here in Kraaifontein we must add at least an extra 4°C so it’s going to be a scorcher today. I gave the plants a little water this morning just to keep them going till tonight when I will put on the sprayer again.

I have a lot on my To Do list for today.

Do Laundry. Sweep floors. Edit. Schedule some posts for the future. But the most important one of all I must be grateful for everything that was ever given to me throughout my life.

Day 5 of my 28 Days of Gratitude.

Todays activity is all about Money. This one took me by surprise. I must say I never thought about all the money I have received since I was a baby…. Okay I am not talking about money I received that reflected in my bank account or in my piggy bank. I am talking about food, drinks, a home, pets, gifts, electricity, water, sport, hobbies, doctors appointments, education, toiletries, clothes the list goes on and on.

For todays activity go sit down and think about everything big or small where money was paid for you, say and feel the magic words, thank you, with all your heart for each instance.

Take a 1 Dollar Bill or what ever currency you have ( I took a R20 bill) and stick a note on the bill and write in bold letters.

THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MONEY I’VE BEEN GIVEN THROUGHOUT MY LIFE.

Take the bill with you today. Take it in your hand and read the note and be truly grateful for the abundance of money you’ve been given.

After today, put your Magic Bill somewhere you will see it every day to remind you to continue to be grateful for the abundance of money you have been given in your life.

  6. Before going to bed, take your magic rock/gratitude rock in your hand and think about all the things to be grateful for that happened the day and say Thank you.

Have a wonderful Monday.

Thank you for your ongoing support and taking the time to read my post.
