Grand Tour of Scotland: Day 10: 21 August 2019 ~Exploring the Isle of Lewis and Harris #686

Luskentyre beach/sands

Luskentyre sands are found on the west coast of South Harris in the Outer Hebrides.

Luskentyre is one of the largest and most spectacular beaches in Harris. Named one of the UK’s best beaches in the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, Luskentyre Sands boasts miles of white sand and stunning green-blue water.

The scenery includes wonderful dunes and the island of Taransay, famous for being the setting of the BBC’s Castaway. Nearby activities include hillwalking, cycling, and much more.

PS.  I am busy saving for a few upcoming Landscape Photography Trips to Scotland, and Namibia, a few road trips in the USA, including Route 66, and a few local National Parks and Botanical gardens in South Africa. The most important trip is honoring my promise to Dad to return to Scotland and capture the beautiful landscapes and Puffins. Your help to make these trips a reality would be much appreciated in today’s economy.
