Good day friends,

Hope everyone had a good nights rest. If you are only going to bed now or a bit later, wishing you a peaceful nights rest.

It is a beautiful morning outside. The sun is shining , birds are singing, and it is very warm already. Today is going to be another scorcher. Tonight when we are going to braai outside I want to put the sprayer on for Willow. She enjoys playing in the water and I feel so guilty for not taking her on walks. She must be thinking that I don’t love her anymore.

I had a very bad night and Willow was by my side the whole time. When I go to the bathroom she goes with. When I get back in bed she lies snug next to me until she gets hot and then move to the floor. Normally during the day she will sleep on the couch, but since I got sick she sleep next to my desk. When I get up she walks with me. When I go to the pet shop next week I have to get her a new toy to say thank you for looking after me.

Update on Dad

I phoned the hospital to find out how Dad is doing, the nurse told me that dad’s infection markers is coming down and he is doing much better. He has started making jokes with the staff and that is always a good sign.

Dad is going on short walks all around the nurse station with assistance. He is sitting in a chair for at least 2 hours a day. I am very glad to hear that dad is making so much progress.

Unfortunately I am not allowed to visit Dad. It is killing me but, I have to get better and stronger for when Dad come home. Maybe the Universe will smile down on me and make sure that Dad is home for my birthday on the 13th.

I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes for Dad. We really appreciate it. He is not out of the woods yet but we are getting there.

According to the weather forecast, we are having a Scorching Hot Summers day. With a maximum temperature of 38°C and winds up to 25.200 km/h.
