🐾Good morning to all my human friends🐾

Do I have some news for you. Mom told me that I must tell you all about my visit to the beach yesterday.  So here goes….

Yesterday morning Mom woke me up very early. It was still dark outside and that big light  in the sky was still switched off.  Mom then put her face covering around her neck, and then she went into her office and got her camera bag. I call it I will be back soon bag. When she takes that bag I stay at home and Mom goes out by herself. She do give me treats though.

Mom and Dad called me and told me we are going to the beach. Beach????? I did not know what that is.  Now I understand why Mom was putting stuff in the car and an blanket on the backseat the previous evening. I wondered why she put my bath towels, a water bowl and a bottle of water in the back of the car.

We drove for a very long time. When Mom stopped she went to the back of the car and took out her camera and Dad took me out of the car. Mom was walking one way and Dad took me in the opposite direction. I did not like that at all. I wanted to go to Mom. She climbed on to big stones and Dad told me that I am going to hurt myself if I go after Mom. I called her but she only came back a little while later. I was so worried I could not see her she just disappeared behind the big stones.

After a while we saw Mom again and she was taking photos of the water and all those big stones dad calls rocks. She showed Dad the back of her camera and said that she is finish and we can go. We got back in the car and I did not understand is this the beach? I did not understand what all the fuss was about. I did not even went for a proper walk.

Mom drove for a short while and then we got out again. Then I saw it…..

WOOOOFFSEEE what a big pool, everywhere you look is just water that come and greet you and run away again. I wonder why the water is afraid of me. There was also lots and lots of sand. Dad said I can dig as many holes as I want to here.

Mom said as soon as I listen to her when she calls me back and stop pulling and running off she will take my leash off and I can go play in the sand and water. But for now Mom says it is safer for me to be on the leash.

I gave Mom some proper exercise we ran in the water and when Mom and I turned to run back to Dad the water grabbed Moms foot and she fell down in the water, I pulled as hard as I could to save her from the water…. Mom got up and laughed she thought it was so funny. She told Dad that one moment there was sand the next moment nothing, just water.

Mom, Dad and I walked along the beach and then the sand started hurting us, Mom said it is broken shells and it can cut my paws and their feet. We turned around and went back to the car. Mom gave me some water in my bowl but I was not that thirsty but Mom insisted that I drink some and gave me some water in her hands. Then she took out my bath towels and dried me.

We got back in the car and we drove home. I was very tired and slept nearly all the way home. 

Yesterday afternoon Mom and Dad watched movies and I caught up on some lost sleep. Who would have thought that an early morning run and walk along the beach can make one so very tired.
