Good Morning: 12 November 2021

Good day friends,

How are you on this beautiful Windy Friday morning?

I had a good nights rest. Got up at 5:20am this morning, got dressed, made coffee, grabbed my camera bag and tripod and left home at around 5:55. I had a smooth drive to Botterblom Nature Reserve.

It was very windy and I did not really plan to take many photos, so it was a quick visit this morning and I only spotted two new flowers, that I have not yet photographed/documented in the reserve. Both have not yet opened, I am going back on the 22nd of this month again. I will spend more time in the reserve then and document them and any new plants and flowers I see. I did take a photo of each this morning as well as some of the Red-Knobbed Coots and their chick. I am happy to report that the Egyptian Goose family is still have both their goslings, and unfortunately the Coot Family only have one chick left.

The reason for this mornings visit was to see if there are any new flowers blooming and to see if one of the water plants have changed. I hoped it would have flowers but it still looks the same. I am having trouble identifying it. If someone can shed light on these pretty little plants it would be much appreciated.

Please ignore the Outdoor run I just started an exercise program to record the route I was walking this morning. I also wanted to record how long I spend time in the park. I did ventured across the street to see if I could photograph the farmland at the back, but there is an ugly fence in the way.

I did formally meet Koos this morning when I returned to my car. He usually take his dogs for a walk in the reserve and then he take them back home and do some sprints up and down the street. Koos came to me this morning and we started talking. His son is also a photographer in California. He invited me to pop in for a coffee sometime then he will show me his sons work. They live across the Nature Reserve and are blessed to be surrounded by nature.
