Morning Greetings: 11 October 2021

Good morning friends,

I hope you all had a good nights rest. I slept like a log.

Yesterday was very busy. We took Nicky back to Wolseley, gave Willow a bath and we had our first braai outside for the new season. It was lovely. I filled a few of the holes in the grass that Willow dug.

We had loadshedding from 10:00pm just in time for bed. I was not that tired and read a few blogs and then went to bed around 10:45pm.

Dad is visiting my brother for a few days and this gives me the opportunity to go out early mornings and I don’t have to rush back home to wake dad and make sure he eats breakfast and drink his medication.

I got up at 5:30am, got dressed, sort the laundry and put in the first load. While waiting for it to finish I gave Ogies her food, put Willows collar back on and put my sunglasses and purse in the car. Willow knew something was going to happen when I put my buff on. She did not leave me alone for one second until I got her leash.

I made a huge mistake waiting for the wash to finish. I forgot the schools started again today so when we left around 7:00 the traffic was already standing…. But we got there 7:30am. It took us 18 minutes longer due to traffic. Willow got out of the car and was eager to start walking. I prepared myself to get dragged today, but she surprised me by walking at my pace. Now and again when she picked up on a smell she would pull to get to the tree or bin. We stopped a lot along the way so that she could smell the different scents. It has been a while since we went to Sonstraaldam for a walk.

Tomorrow Willow and I are going for a drive I want see what Philadelphia Road has to offer photography wise. I am taking along my camera and tripod just in case I see something I like.

If the weather plays along we will go back to Sonstraaldam on Wednesday. But this time we leave at 6:00am. At least then there won’t be so much traffic. Maybe we will walk 5km around the dam.

I am super excited, Armand is coming to visit for a week maybe longer. Looking forward to seeing my oldest again.

It is a beautiful warm morning outside and according to the weather forecast we are having a whopper of a hot October day. They predicted a maximum temperature of 30°C with a light breeze.

On my To-Do List for today

  • Plant my new Clevia plants.
