Good morning friends,

I hope that everyone is still in good health.

I have dodged a bullet with Morné having Covid 19 and has been very ill the past 2 weeks. I took his daughter back on Saturday morning. He is only going back to work tomorrow. I thank God for keeping me safe during this period.

As you all know I am supposed to be on a two week break, but I missed blogging so much that I did schedule some post. I feel funny not greeting my online friends every morning.

I am also burning to tell you the fantastic news. Dad phoned me on Saturday evening, now we all know he stays with me only 10 steps away then I am at his door. He saw the flowers in Nieuwoudtville on the TV and had to tell me immediately at 10:00pm we must go. I told him that we could talk about it the next morning.

Super excited and I am not sleepy at all anymore, I started looking at places for us to stay. Most of the places has been booked but I knew we will get something. The flower season has started and so did the tours.

I went to dad yesterday morning and he was already super excited about our flower seeing getaway. We decided on Vanrhynsdorp as our base for the week. First I looked for a place to stay and we got a room at Van Rhyn Guest House. I have already made a list of places we are going to visit. I have three photos in mind for my assignment. One I took in 2013 on our Sanparks tour I want to recapture it, if the scene is still there. Another one is also a recapture of the Church in Nieuwoudtville.

The next one is the Quiver Tree Forest. Because the Quiver Tree Forest is on private land and Guest Farm. According to the website if photographers want to take photos at night they must get a permit to do so. I thought it best to rather get permission and not step on any toes. I have to practice to ask for permission, if I want to become a great landscape photographer and get to the beautiful scenes. Well I got the permission and also they asked to send them some of the photos.

Well back to planning our trip. I will pop in again to say hallo. Just had to share the great news with you all.
