One of my all-time favorites is the Musical The Song of Music. I can remember watching it on VHS when I was a child. The poor tape did not even want to play later on. Luckily for us DVD’s came out and I bought one for myself and one for my Mom. I knew the whole musical word for word.
My Mother had a daycare center and the children loved it as well. On a Friday we usually watched a movie and most of the times the Sound of Music was first on the list.
The Sound of Music by Julie Andrews
The hills are alive
With the sound of music
With songs they have sung
For a thousand years
The hills fill my heart
With the sound of music
My heart wants to sing ev’ry song it hears
My heart wants to beat like the wings of the birds
That rise from the lake to the trees
My heart wants to sigh like a chime that flies
From a church on a breeze
To laugh like a brook when it trips and falls
Over stones on it’s way
To sing through the night
Like a lark who is learning to prey
I go to the hills
When my heart is lonely
I know I will hear
What I’ve heard before
My heart will be blessed
With the sound of music
And I’ll sing once more
With all my heart, thank you for your continued support.
Have a Blessed day.

I too love The Sound of Music. This opening sequence and song is such a classic.
