My Flower of the day is the Gardenia or as I know it Katjiepiering.
Growing up, we had a gardenia tree next to the front door. I can still smell the sweet scent of the flowers. My mother loved that tree, but it was not the best thing to have in your garden when you get hayfever.
In January, we went to Wolseley so that I can take some photos of the town. While walking, I smelled something very familiar and, there it was a Gardenia Tree.

Thank you for taking the time visiting my post.
Till next time. Stay safe and healthy.

I used to have Gardenia in my garden but it died on me after several years. I didnโt even think of planting some cuttings, what a shame. Thank you for following my blog.
My pleasure Arlene. I am thinking of getting one. I want to plant it on 10 October that’s on the 4th anniversary of my mother’s passing. Think she will love it.
That would be a lovely tribute to her.
Lovely! I am thinking of buying a couple of gardenia plants. I have a good spot lined up for them. Such amazing perfume ๐
Beautiful gardenia ๐
Thank you, Cee.
