Good day everyone,
First of all Happy New year to everyone reading this post. I know it is 1 February already but rather late okay very late than never.
2019 is going to be very busy and full of new adventures for me. I really hope to post more this year.
I started the New year of with a bang. I started exercising again. Walking 10 kilometers every morning. Then just as I started to get into jogging I tore a ligament in my ancle. I have been so frustrated after this. One can’t believe what good therapy walking/jogging really is. I want to do a 20km walk in April 2019 with my boyfriend and next year I want to run my first half marathon, but by the looks of it I won’t be ready for April. I am not quitting. I have tested the waters at home and as soon as I can do 5 km without any discomfort I will hit the road again. Thinking of going for a walk on Sunday morning.
So what have I been up to these past few weeks. Well editing a wedding, compiling a wedding album, busy editing some nature photo’s I took in 2017 and 2018 (hope to sell some of them online) and now I am concentrating on finishing up a project I started one year ago… Will post photo’s of above mentioned at a later date…
In October 2018 my dad and I booked a holiday in Scotland for August 2019… In between editing and learning new photography skills I am planning a holiday too. But more on this in another post…
Earlier this week I was looking for something in my prop cupboard and came across a set of Massa Close up filters I bought a few years back… So I took one of them for a spin.
I must say I am very happy with the results and my aim this month is to practice with it at least once a week. I hope to master the art of macro photography with the equipment I have by the end of the year. Never thought something old but new can make me so excited…
Here’s a few of the photos I took with my Canon EOS 7D mark II, Canon 18-200mm lens and a Massa +4 Closeup Filter. Please feel free to comment and give constructive criticism. I believe that the only way I am going to know if I am doing it right is when my audience tell me.

On my Bucket list for 2019:
- Doing the big walk 20km in April.
- Post at least 3 times a month.
- Mastering the art of macro photography with the equipment I have.
- Train for my first half marathon in 2020.
- Visit Scotland in August.
- Sell some of my nature photo’s online.
- Learn how to make and edit aVideo with my Camera.
- Be positive and happy.
