A Blast from the past… Project 365/87

10  September 2013:  Springbok

In the middle of the main road of Sprinbok there is a big traffic circle. The space in this circle was used to make a garden and they build a memorial in commemoration of all the heroes and heroines of the Namaqualand uprising from 1798 to 1799. It is a beautiful garden with all of the flowers, trees and succulents that are indigenous to Namaqualand.  Here are some more of the beautiful trees and flowers in the garden. We left Springbok to go to the Goegap Nature Reserve 12km outside Springbok…
