Okay I hope someone out there will be able to give me some advice. This is the first time that I am in Durban in December since I’ve became a photographer. The humidity is very high and even the furniture in the house are very humid.
This morning I took out my camera to take some photo’s of my friends daughter but the lens fogged up before I could take my first photo. I packed away my camera immediately. Tomorrow is my friends wedding and I am starting to stress. I hope tomorrow the weather is better.
I am searching the internet for some solutions hope I get answers before the wedding tomorrow.
I will only be posting my photo’s of the day when I am back in Cape Town on the 10th of December.
Chat again tomorrow . Need to get some answers and fast…..
No solutions, not even suggestions , from my side! But I hope everything will be fine soon and we all can see some brilliant works from you soon 🙂
Thank you. 🙂
🙂
By the way if U can please read my work Impressions
Are you taking the camera out of air conditioning and into very humid air? This can certianly cause the fog. The camera and lens need time to equalize from one environment to the next.
Hi Phil, no the room is not air conditioned. I took the camera out of my camera bag. I read on some forums that I must put camera in a ziplock bag for a while till it equalize.
I too have heard this can work but I have not tried it myself. I’ll see if I can find out more info on this situation.
I am going to give it a try. Will also let you know if it works. Thanks for your help.
Weddings are stressful even without fog problems. Hope the plastic bag trick works or the weather clears up. Try to enjoy the sweet moments of union. 🙂
Hope it all works out!!!
Yes it all worked out in the end. Thanks for stopping by.
