Stunning capture of the dassie! I love them!
Thank you. I love them too. Can’t wait to go to Hermanus to capture some more.
Can’t say that I saw many in Hermanus but then again I was looking at the whales so my attention was elsewhere. The place where I saw them the most was at Storms River Tstitsikama but they are a bit cheeky there. I was also surprised last year to spot some at Margate.

lovely photos – I’ve never heard of dassies !!
Love the reflections in the water. Not sure what kind of animal a dassie is in the English language, but he sure is cute.
