Project 365 Photo a day: 365/159

Today I decided to capture the Snowdrop in our garden.

I never knew that a Snowdrop is one of my Zodiac flowers.  I’m a Capricorn and my Zodiac flowers are the Carnation and the Snowdrop.

I quoted the following information from the Floral & Hearty website.

In January, the most commonly accepted birth flower is the Carnation. This familiar flower (often seen in red, white and pink) is well-suited for this time of year, as the word “carnation” elicits the idea of “incarnation” or “reincarnation”—birth and rebirth. It’s the ideal theme to kick off a New Year.

Another flower associated with Capricorns is the Snowdrop, or milk flower. The lesser-known has less of a blossom to it than the carnation; in fact, it resembles a hanging bulb shaded by three standalone petals in white. A delicate, romantic flower, the snowdrop effortlessly symbolizes delicateness and purity. True to its name, it survives easily and even flourishes in the winter months, even in snow.”

I used my MASSA +4 and +2 Close-up filters on my Canon EF-S 18 – 200mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS lens. I am really out of practice with my Macro photography but I will practice my Macro photography in the September/October School holidays.

I took photo’s from different angles just because I am allowed to. Enjoy.
